Perfect for families, first-time visitors, and New Yorkers at heart alike. Located at the top of Museum Mile on Fifth Avenue and across from Central Park, the Museum of the City of New York fosters understanding of the distinctive nature of urban life in the world’s most influential metropolis. It engages visitors by celebrating, documenting, and interpreting the city’s past, present, and future. The Museum’s three first-floor galleries are devoted to New York at Its Core, an award winning, ongoing exhibition where visitors discover New York City’s history and consider its future through objects, images, video, photography, and interactive digital experiences.
Also ongoing is the short documentary Timescapes, a multimedia historical storytelling that brings viewers along on a journey through 400 years of history. (Scheduled every 40 minutes. Free headsets available in French, Mandarin, and Spanish.) Finally, not to be missed are the special exhibitions in the second and third-floor galleries that focus on a wide range of city-specific issues and events. The Museum Shop is stocked with a wide array of exhibition-related and New York City-centric items and gifts, and Chalsty’s Caf offers sweet treats, savory snacks, breakfast, and lunch.

What is the cancellation policy?
Non-refundable reservations cannot be cancelled or modified once submitted.
What if you miss the appointed time or departure date?
Once the booking is confirmed, an absence or failure to show up on the scheduled date or time is a no-show. No refunds or reschedules will be issued for no-shows and late arrivals

This app made it super easy to reserve a space and time for our trip to NYC. We usually take the train, but needed a car this time. I usually hate looking for parking, so I tried to find a garage near our hotel. When I found that there was one just a block away I went to their website and saw that they had this app. It was super easy to set up and I found a space and was able to adjust the time and complete my transaction from creating an account to having a full parking space reservation in about five minutes. Unfortunately I ended up having to cancel my trip about a week early so I requested a refund and it was instant with no hassle. I think in general, from now on I’ll just use this app to see if there are other parking garages by the same owner, and reserve spaces in those (if I ever have to bring a car back to NYC - I still like the train better). The only 2 things things that I would wish for are: 1. That they had an option to add the parking pass to your Apple Wallet so I just need to bring up a code on my phone when I get there and they scan it. 2. They allowed you to add a previously booked guest reservation to your current account. I started on the web with the reservation and then got the app and wanted to add the reservation to the app, but couldn’t. I kept the app and will now use it from now on instead of checking out as a “guest” from now on. Overall, a great app.
